The Vegetable Patch started out at being an attempt to grow
as you might guess a few vegetables. It was soon realised
that the patch was too small and in the wrong place. So at
the beginning of 2005 a new area was sort. After killing the
weeds and digging over, the patch was divided and both John
(a neighbour) and myself planted our respective crops. My
potatoes were dug in and John planted his cabbages. It was
not long (almost hours) before the next task was obvious.
The Rabbits had eaten John's cabbages and project fence had
begun. 2005 has been a good crop year with the early rain
and warm summer. Crops have included:
