The Orchard Barn is Situated in the historic village of Ticknall in Derbyshire. It is on the site of an ancient orchard and is slowly being restored to its former level of beauty. The house, a converted barn (or more presently used as a cow shed before conversion ) looks south over the orchard and towards the two story barn within the orchard grounds of about 2 acres.

Spring time and grass cutting starts again. Its been very wet and care has to be taken not to damage the ground with heavy machines. There is lots of planting to do and a new area for vegetables has been prepared. Seedlings are in boxes and fences have been restored. The area down by the brook has been cleared now and wild flowers are being encouraged.
